Sunday School at St. Andrew’s teaches children and young
people about the love of Christ and the Anglican tradition through Scripture,
music, lessons, shortened liturgy and crafts. Class time is about 30 minutes, with the young people often taking
leadership roles in opening liturgy and singing.
Our multi-age class meets concurrently with the worship
service and joins the congregation in the main sanctuary for Holy Eucharist.
In the future, we plan to supplement our youth programs with
brief video homilies that feature subject matter from the Revised Common
Lectionary for the day. The messages
will be the consistent with those received by adults in the main sanctuary, but
are tailored for young people.
Sunday School participants are taught and supervised by
trained, certified leaders in a safe and nurturing environment. All children ages 5 – 12 years old are
welcome to join us for Sunday School held in the Old Common Room. For smaller children, nursery care is
